This morning I woke up at 7:15 am to catch the 7:57 bus to the train station. Here are some pics of the view of the Uni from the busstop. Other than the fact that everyone was sleeping, I was wayy to lazy and tired to take any pictures that weren't from the busstop ha. O wait, no I actually never did take any pictures because my camera had died..sorry! Coming soon though :)

I took the train to Sheffield and switched at Sheffield to get on a train to York. Met a guy named Daniel on the train who goes to Loughborough, too! He plays cricket (now I know two cricket players!). Did you know the Isle of Man is seperate from the UK even though it looks like it should be part of it? Crazy!

Anyway, York is BEAUTIFUL. The Minster is the HUGE cathedral in the center of the city that dates back to 71 AD when the Romans founded it. The city is about half way between London and Edinborough, Scotland. Did I say it was gorgeous?! Anyway, construction began in 1080 or something to build the Minster. Here are some pics of it, as well as some pics of the city in general. It is a gated in city and falls between the Ouse and Foss Rivers in North Yorkshire, England. Also famous in the city is the street called The Shambles. Way back when, land was charged as a per land basis rather than also charging for air space. Therfore the houses along this row bought small plots of land and built upward and outward into the center of the street. From the second stories, one could nearly touch the opposing house! It was absolutely wicked. Diagon Alley from Harry Potter was based on this street as are the scenes of a number of other moveis. So fun!
